Happy Thanksgving! Pumpkin Pie- Drink of the week





Some people love the holidays and embrace the Thanksgiving meal with the family, while others loathe the holidays and need some relative relief.

If you’re the latter, try this delicious drink, Pumpkin Pie when you need to escape your crazy uncle, better yet, drink a couple Pumpkin Pie cocktails with him and you’ll forget all of his abnormal antics.

Pumpkin Pie

1 pinch of ground cinnamon
1 tsb of Cinnamon Schnapps
1.5 oz chilled Irish Cream

Directions: Mix together with crushed ice in a glass and garnish with mint leaves.

Happy Halloween! Halloween Drinks





Happy Halloween!


If you’re having a Halloween party and you’re stumped on festive drinks to serve, take a look at the list compiled below and you’ll be sure to have a party that will scare the pants off of everyone!


Brain Hemmorage

1 oz Peach schnapps
1 tsp Bailey’s irish cream
½ Grenadine

First, pour the peach schnapps. Then, slowly pour the Irish Cream. Do not mix! The Creme will clump together and settle at the bottom of the schnapps. It will have the appearance of an internal organ!! Pour the grenadine over the cream for a completely disgusting looking, yet thoroughly tasty party drink!


Pumpkin Pie

1 part Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 part Kahlua
½ part Bacardi 151 proof rum
Sprinkle Cinnamon on top

Mixing instructions:
Add Bailey's and Kahlua together in shaker and shake. Pour into shot glasses and add required amount of Bacardi to each and then sprinkle with cinnamon. Light on fire. Drink!

Wolf (Howlin')

½ Absolut Vodka
½ White Crème de Menthe
1 oz Blue Curacao
Fill with Sprite

Mixing instructions:
Pour spirits in a glass. Add some ice and fill up with Sprite.

Spooky Juice

1 oz Vodka
2 dashes Blue Curacao
1 dash Gerandie
Fill with Orange Juice

Mixing instructions:
Sir together with ice.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Football Cocktails



Football season just started and everyone is ready to cook some wings and slip on something refreshing while yelling at their flat screen. I must admit that I’m not a fan of football but I am a fan of football cocktails! If I must watch the game, I’ll pass time by making a drink and who doesn’t like theme cocktails? Oh, yea, here’s my game face, “Let’s go Ravens!”



Two-Point Conversion

4 oz white rum
4 oz dark rum
3 oz cranberry juice
6 oz sour mix
6 oz pina colada mix
ice

In one blender combine rums, sour mix, cranberry juice and ice. In other blender combine pina colada mix with ice. In two hurricane glasses alternate layers of mixtures. Serve with a straw and orange wheel with cherry. (Makes two 16-ounce servings.)


Blitz

1 oz tequila
1 oz rum
1 oz gin
1 oz vodka
1 oz cranberry
1 oz sour mix
splash tonic water

In a large shaker half filled with ice combine all ingredients except tonic water. Strain into four shot glasses. Top with tonic water. Can be enjoyed like straight tequila shots except lick of sugar, swallow shooter then suck lime. (Makes four 1 1/2-ounce servings)




False Start

4 oz apple cider
2 oz bourbon
1 oz apple brandy
1/2 lemon

In a shaker filled with cracked ice squeeze juice of lemon. Shake well with cider and spirits. Strain into two rocks glasses filled with ice cubes. (Makes two 4-ounce servings.)

Fumble

2 oz gin
2 oz vodka
2 oz grapefruit juice
2 oz cranberry juice
Fill soda water or seltzer

Combine all fruit juices, vodka and gin in a large shaker half filled with ice. Strain into two rocks glasses packed with crushed ice. Fill with seltzer. (Makes two 6-ounce servings.)

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Golden Daiquiri


Yay! Let’s celebrate the Labor Day Weekend with a great cocktail. Try the Golden Daiquiri, made with brown sugar,it's soo tasty!

6 fresh raspberries
1 packed tablespoon dark brown sugar
Ice cubes
2 ounces golden rum
Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon)

Muddle raspberries with sugar in a rocks glass. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the rum and lime juice, shake until chilled. (In general, the drink is ready by the time the shaker mists up.) Pour drink with some ice over the berries in the glass.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Chinese 88

In honor of the Summer Games in Beijing, try the new spin on the classic French 75 drink, the Chinese 88.

1 ounces gin
1/4 ounce lemon juice
1/8 ounce simple syrup
5 ounces chilled champagne

Shake gin, lemon juice, and syrup with ice. Strain into a champagne flute. Top with champagne.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Banana Daiquiri

Wow, it is too hot outside! I don’t know if it is even a good idea to have a drink in this heat but it’s fruity and it should cool you down. Try the Banana Daiquiri!

Banana Daiquiri

Juice of 1 lime
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 inch of slice of banana
1 dash of maraschino liqueur
1 ounce of light Puerto Rican rum
1 scoop of shaved or crushed ice

Blend in a blender. Strain through a medium mesh strainer into chilled stem glass.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: LEMON BASIL TEHITO


Chill out on a hot summer day, try the Lemon Basil Tehito, a fresh alternative to a mojito.

7 fresh basil leaves
3 lemon wedges
Splash simple syrup
1 ounce 100 percent agave silver tequila
Splash Cointreau
Club soda

In a tumbler, muddle together 6 of the basil leaves, 2 lemon wedges and a splash of simple syrup.Add ice, tequila and Cointreau, then stir. Top off with club soda.

Granish with the remaining basil leaf and lemon wedge.

Alternatively, this drink can be served as a martini. Follow the recipe, but make it in a cocktail shaker, pour the drink into a martini glass, then top off with club soda and garnish.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Stoli Blueberi Julep



Summer is coming and this drink will make a delicious companion while lounging poolside.

Stoli Blueberi Julep

1.5 oz Stoli Blueberi

.5 oz Blueberry liqueur

.5 oz Simple syrup

2 oz Blueberry nectar or puree

Splash of club soda

Juice of one wedge of lime

Rim edge of a rocks glass with sugar. Pour over ice, top with mint leaf, and enjoy!

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Tezón Blossom


Forget the Cherry Blossoms, try the Tezón Blossom! Making a few of these with your girlfriends, is a better idea than looking at flowers!

Pre-marinate fresh fruit pieces in lime juice and Malibu Passion Fruit Rum

2 parts Tequila Tezón Blanco
.5 part SOHO Lychee Liqueur
1 part Pomegranate Juice
1 part Orange Juice
Spoonful of Sugar

Serve over ice in a rocks glass filled with marinated fruit pieces.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step: Caribbean Chat

So, Spring showers bring May flowers but the showers are putting me in a dismal mood. If your feeling gloomy as well, try the Caribbean Chat. Your guaranteed to feel like your walking on sunshine.


1 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
1/2 oz White Creme de Cacao
Splash of Orange Juice
Splash of Club Soda

Pour the rum, creme de cacao and orange juice into a highball glass filled with ice cubes.
Stir well, add club soda, stir again gently, and serve.
Enjoy!

Got My Drink N’ My Two Step: Skinny Girl Margarita


“ I feel like my ankles are swelling and I’m bloated thinking about it.”

OK, I’ll admit that I watch Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York. I’m torn between which housewife, I like the most, Bethenny or Alex. I think I’m lending towards, celebrity natural food chef, Bethenny because she bakes and cooks, and makes drinks to help maintain my figure. Try her Skinny Girl Margarita, she makes the drink to cut down on your salt and sugar intake.

Skinny Girl Margarita

Clear tequila- 4 counts per drink
4 limes wedges or fresh lime juice
A splash of triple sec.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step- Drink of the Week: Strawberry Stripper


This drink will make you feel as if your on a beach, soaking some rays (while wearing sunscreen of course!) and the sand is between your toes.



Strawberry Stripper

1 oz Strawberry Schnapps
5 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Lemon-Lime Soda
1 Splash Grenadine


Serve over ice in a highball adding the grenadine last.

Got My Drink N' My Two Step- Drink of the Week: Love in a Glass


Planning a cozy dinner for you and your boo? Try this cocktail to compliment your meal, it's love in a martini glass!


Love in a Glass


1 1/2 oz. Liqueur, raspberry (Chambord)
2 dashes Amaretto (Disaronno)
1 1/2 oz. Vodka (Grey Goose)
1 oz. Sour Mix


Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into two glasses.

Got My Drank N’ My Two Step- Drink of the Week: Sunset Martini


It’s still early in the work week so maybe you don’t need a drink just yet but as the week wears on and your boss is annoying you, your roommate is pissing you off, or your crush hasn’t said a word to you all week, you will be begging for a cocktail.

Try the Sunset Martini, it’s delicious, it looks sexy and after a couple, your week won’t look so bad after all.


Sunset Martini


3 oz Stoli Peach Vodka
2 oz Pineapple juice
1 oz Triple Sec
½ oz Grenadine syrup

Add the first three ingredients into an iced shaker. Shake to the rhythm of your favorite springtime tune. Pour Grenadine around the sides of the martini glass, and then strain the mixture into the glass. With the Grenadine on the side it gives the affect of a sunset.

Bottoms up!
