The anniversary of rapper Notorious BIG untimely death, Cre8 will be exhibiting a special selection of paintings by Aniekan Udofia (http://www.artofaniekanudofia.com/), Matias Cueva, Moe (http://www.moesartdesign.com/) and Alex Vallcorba(http://www.vallcorbaink.com/); as well as a custom tapestry honoring Biggie and hip hop culture.

All are welcomed!

$5 suggested donation

This event is designed to involve the community in all things arts and humanities.

GUEST ARE INVITED TO BRING THEIR IPODS AND PLAY THEIR FAVORITE BIG SONG OR MIX!!

Tonight, party for a cause. M.A.N.U.P. and Marquis Perkins host Black: One World at the new studio gallery, Cre8 at 1314 9th Street, NW. Join the young DC creative community as local artists, bands and djs join forces to help raise money and food for the people of Haiti.

* Art by: Gabriel Scindian, Peter Chang, Drew Storm Graham, Brandon Hill, Francisco Esteban, Chanel Compton, Moe, Diana Cruz and many others.

* Music by: Chris Burns, Adrian Loving, Matthew Hamerlein, Laughing Man, TheFiveOne and others.

*From 6-9pm Youth from MANUP (Making a New United People) will be collecting items for the Haitian Embassy. www.manupnow.org

Fly Fashion: For The Love Of It + Redeem's 3 Year Anniversary Event


Good things come in threes, third time's a charm, three's company... Redeem couldn't be more humbled and happy to have made it to this momentous milemarker.

Join Redeem, and their very talented group of local friends, for a night celebrating why Redeem brings the latest fashions to D.C.: For the Love of It. Triple Star Sound Stage is bringing the heat to D.C. With a knack in soul music, Aaron J of Triple Star Sound Stage promises to showcase artists who can put on a great live show. On Saturday, November 21st at 8pm, Kindred, The Family Soul will hit the stage and take over South East D.C.

Fly Event: Art Klash D.C. 10.29.09


Art Klash is a new positive way to celebrate art and talent from around the capital. Purple PORK, the event producer, is geared for the continued development of both youth and creative culture. With their second installation of Art Klash, they are bringing together a diverse group of individuals to enjoy the arts of theDMV in a new fashion. All artists participating in the competition are from either from D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.

Art Klash is a social gathering and live art battle celebrating creative minds in the nation's capital. The battle places four of the Washington D.C. areas best painters in front of a live audience with nothing more than a blank canvas and 90 minutes to construct a painting based on a randomly selected theme. Winners will be selected by our judges and live audience.
